Session IPA - A Small Twist on Northern Brewer's Kama Citra Session IPA

What do you do when you have a day off from the wife and kids? You brew a beer of course! I took a kit from Northern Brewer, Kama Citra, and put my own spin on it by adding dextrose, El Dorado hops, and the Verdant IPA yeast. This beer came out great! It's light but packed with flavor. I'm really impressed with this yeast and plan on using it much more in the future.

As always, Thanks for watching!

Cheers!!

Stay alone in house is perfect time to brew. hope my wife doesn't read this . Go outside, the neighborhood dog now is part of channel 😀. Cheers 🥂

You have a nice house! Actually I kinda like the outside interruptions it makes it more real, I get frustrating for you. I have some Verdant yeast I’m looking to try and I’m going to assume it’s just a cloudy yeast, it’s whole job is to ferment NEIPA’s so I’m not surprised it didn’t clear up. Great video! Looking forward to the next one!!

El Dorado is a great dank bomb and I love it. Good looking brew man!

Damnit! Now I want to brew another IPA. But I need to diversify. But I love IPAs. Winter is coming up here, so you'll have to go outside for your reviews to make us Canadians jealous of the weather. Cheers!

There's not much better than brewing a tasty beverage in solitude.

Love Verdant yeast! Verdant are a fantastic IPA brewery over here in the UK based in Cornwall. Their yeast tends to give off fantastic apricot stone fruit vibes and their yeast is usually used for hazy juicy beers. Beer looks great and love the content! 🍻

I made that same kit maybe 4-5 years ago, and it's still one of the best beers I have made. It's such an easy drinking beer. Feel free to shoot tastings out by the pool, us Midwestern folks need to see that over the next few months! Cheers!!!

Great video as always. Have used the Verdant once before and didn't go much on it. That being said your beer looks very nice. Always look forward to your next upload, informative and fun to watch. Cheers mate.

I haven't brewed with the Verdant yeast yet but I may need to bump it up on the list based on this! Session IPAs are underrated - just finished up fermenting a hazy session IPA that should be pretty good! Loved the pour shot on this! Personally I like the outside view better, but you've got great lighting inside!

That's one good looking beer, teach! Can't go wrong with Citra and El Dorado, that's for sure... I haven't used Verdant IPA yeast yet, but it's definitely on my list. great video....

I've used Verdant a bunch now and I like it enough that it has replaced London 3 as my go to yeast due to ease of use. Nice to see someone besides me rocking the hoodie/shorts combo too 👍🏻

I have also brewed the same beer from Northern Brewer! Did you use any irish moss? Also it will probably clear up over time, mine always does.

I like the kama citra and fresh squished recipes from northern brewer. I've been using voss kveik ale yeast with great success on these type of beers

Inside look chic and cosy. Your shirt match up with the decoration and the beer shines up.. Is the haziness about the Verdant yeast? Haven’t used it yet, but I am considering to brew an IPA with it..

Yep hat Verdant haze is there to stay. You should try it with stone fruit style hazy, really tasty! Well done!

I 100% approve your message, methods, hops, yeast and brewing alone. :) Verdant yeast is pretty good. I've used it 4 times in various recipes. I'm not a fan of it so much in darker beers but I'm still trying to find out what hops go best with it.

Nice beer Brian ! And yes that verdant haze is going nowhere, I didn’t bother to add gelatin on the last time I used it. Cheers 🍻🍻🤙🏼
