Today I'm going to be doing a quick overview of my 2 Modded / Jailbroken Nintendo Switch consoles. What can they do? What are the benefits of Jailbreaking one? Lets take a look.

Some parts of the Video needed to be cut out (the 3DS emulation). Nintendo smacked me with the ol' ban hammer. But the overall message still remains. Enjoy.

As someone who has owned an Nvidia Shield TV box since 2015/2016, I know full well that Nintendo stifled the Switch's potential.

I’ll probably end up buying a switch once official support ends and modders crack it wide open like the 3ds

There is a pretty good second-hand market for modded Switch Lite. I've seen them go around 120$-150$, which is a pretty good price for the number of games you can play.

It’s heck-ate

Jailbreaking wont get you banned if you dont pirate or run cheats online. Ive been modded since 2019 with no problem online

Out of topic, the Mobapad M6 HD is the best joycon alternative so far. It's been my daily driver for the past few months. Too bad it came late to the Switch's life but still better late than never.

I really like my switch lite. I just wish they had ported over Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 4.

I am happy to mod a 3DS/2DS or get a PS Vita and mod that as well. Since those two can already handle quite a bit, personally, considering how many games have released on the switch, how many games I have bought on the Switch, I really am happy with not modding mine. I even want to buy an extra unmodded Switch lite, at most do a hardware mod if that OLED screen mod I've been seeing ever releases, and keep playing all the games I already have without ever soft modding it. In other words, I am quite happy with the switch as it is. If I want to play anything from the NES, SNES, GB, GBC, GBA, DS and 3DS, I have my modded 3DS. If I want to play anything from the PS1, some from the PS2, the PSP and the PS Vita, I can get (and I want) a modded Vita. If I want to play N64 to Wii U, I have my modded Wii U.

I don’t want a modded switch for playing games. I want a modded switch for utility apps, and custom software. Basically just be like E.Gadd using a Nintendo device as a personal computing device like a boss

People sleep on Reverse NX. It tricks the console into thinking its in docked mode while handheld. When you OC to docked clocks or above, you get a much higher resolution, maxing out at 1080p downscaled to the 720p screen. Basically a Switch Pro with 50% battery life.

The reason the switch and vita homebrew overlap is because they have similar processing power

I honestly believe that the jailbroken switch shines with both Android and Linux

I hope the switch 2 will be downwards compatible. If so I will use my old switch for emulation.

Thanks. Got a broken switch lite for cheap. Going to try fixing it and then adding the modchip. Hope it can play some psp

Back when the switch first came out I wanted it so bad. Mainly to mod it and play gba Pokémon games on a bigger platform. Finally towards the end of 2018 I bought one, and after hours of trying to boot up the homebrew and playing with the paperclip trick, I found out I bought the first set of patched switches. I was so bummed lol. Kinda wanna buy another one to mod now that more options are available

I have a Steam Deck with Emudeck where I have all my home console emulators. Years ago I bought something called a Flip Grip because I thought it was cool, turns out it has very little application on the switch. But I have an unpatched switch just waiting to be modded so I can play DS and 3DS games more naturally with that flip grip.
