The Aussie reviewers had said it, its surprisingly comfortable. And quite powerful

Test drove this last Sunday prior to its launch. I have to say, it drives like a sedan but has the power and torque of a sports car. It’s a bit quicker than the Raptor V6 on a standstill drag. Power delivery is also very linear. Brakes are a bit spongee but I think it should get better the more it’s used. It looks good in the flesh. Interior is pleasant to the eye as well. Overall, I think this is a great alternative if you have the budget. I was informed the pricing would be 2.4m for the entry level and 2.6m for the premium variant. I just hope they could have priced it a little better. 2m-2.2m would be the sweet spot. Still, it’s a lot of truck for the money and I thoroughly enjoyed taking it for a short drive. Btw, test drove this in Batangas. Thank you BYD Batangas for the privilege!

Dito sa Australia na launch na yang BYD shark last year at meron na akong nakita sa road sa Sydney. Maangas ang dating. Ang price nya dito sa OZ ay $62725 AUD ( 2, 262, 708 pesos) drive away na yun. Significantly mas mahal ng 200, 000 dyan sa pilipinas. Yung mga australyano na die hard sa mga pick up truck (UTE ang tawag dito) has been giving positive reviews sa BYD shark. Some nag benta na ng Ford rangers to buy this pick up truck.

Best pickup for now in terms of power and tech for the price. Even Ford lost to this bad boy. The only remaining concern is the durability. Even local chinese pips are having trouble with the substandard easily corroded frame of byd cars.

The designers obviously took notes from the looks of the F150 and Rivian. With that being said, other major manufacturers should take note of how much these new Chinese brands are offering to the market. Reliability, on the other hand, we'll just have to wait and see.
