He probably posted this video because he personally knows other players or influencers that do this.

I mean to be fair the weight was labeled 2.5 kg so it's not exactly "fake" if it's labeled correctly.

Jokes on him I can’t even squat that many 2.5kg plates so this was impressive to me

Those are 2.5KG weightlifting TECHNIQUE plates. Made to allow you to work the snatch clean and jerk super light, but at standard height frop the floor. For practice purposes and beginners.
They are made of hard hollow plastic, wide so they don't bend or warp through usage.

They’re called technique plates. Eleiko sells the most expensive plates on the market because they’re calibrated for Olympic use. These are used for learning technique.

Y’all keep getting trolled and I’m just as guilty for wasting my time explaining this to you.

Hey he's doing 12.5 a side so 25kg plus the bar which is probably 10/15kg, that's a solid 35/40kg squat!

Those are technique plates. 2.5lbs each used to learn the movements of the different lifts.

I'm confused. So what's the problem with using fake weight for demonstrational purposes?

What’s the purpose of these low density plates?
