Tubes work for large things like posters, but they'd actually take up more space in a package than laying flat (which would cost more to ship). Besides, tubes cost money which would raise the expense of doing the samples...

I don't know that we have a way to restrict what items someone can purchase based on the other items in their cart....even if we did that would probably not go over very well!

We are doing much better! We got a little worse after the broadcast but bounced back...being sick is tough when you have to still take care of your two little kids!

That's great! Yeah, Platinum isn't talked about enough for how wonderful their pens are. Most people are familiar with the Preppy and Plaisir, but there isn't really anything else in their line with a steel nib, maybe that's why people don't know them....there's not a real 'step-ladder' to climb with their line, they go from $4-20 pens all the way up to $140+ pens, with nothing in between. Their pens are amazing, but it's quite a leap to get up to their gold nib pens. It's worth the leap though!

Well, they were probably either the two most popular colors (even though they're similar) or they were something he had in good enough supply to offer in addition to the flex pens. Either way, they're are pretty amazing for a $20 pen!

Everyone has their preferences, especially when it comes to paper. It's hard for me that we're not able to logistically work out the paper samples like we have the ink samples, because ink samples are such an important part of the ink buying experience. Paper is much more complicated though, mainly because it's not standardized and easy to divide up/package economically. We keep revisiting the idea but the numbers just don't add up.

Platinum is AMAZING I love my 3776 Century Shoji...No one knows about them and the quality is highly concentrated good...outstanding build quality and it does keep the ink fresh.

That's a good idea, but we wouldn't be able to do that affordably. The more labor involved, the more expensive the sampler would have to be...and when you're talking about a few sheets of paper, there just isn't a lot of room to work with in terms of labor cost.

Maybe....but the Time are limited edition colors...so who knows!

Maybe the Studio is for the bright colors ( art studioish) and the time are more muted standard "timeless" colors ??

I'll be doing a video on them soon enough ;)

Regarding the shipping of paper, maybe you could try shipping in a tube, like those draftsman or artist carries but maybe in a shorter version. Rolling the paper up instead and if the buyer purchase an ink, you might be able to fit it into the tube with the pieces of sample paper.
Another alternative, only allow buyers who are purchasing pens to purchase the sample papers too, it may be more cost efficient in terms of shipping.
