Just had one performed on me a week ago. Didn’t know what to expect going in, but it was a painless procedure. Hoping it gives me the relief I’ve sought for years.

I’ve had it down twice in my lower back. The 1st time I was sedated, as I was coming out of the sedation I could feel where they stuck the needle into the never, it was painful for about 5 minutes. The medicine that was injected did not last two weeks. The 2nd one I had done, no sedation. When the needle hit that never and the medication was going in, I had to ask for the doctor to stop for a second. It was painful, he finished up. I was glad it was over.

The procedure doesn’t take long, maybe 10 minutes. It only hurts for a couple of minutes. Once the doctor is done, I’m a little sore, nothing bad at all.

These injections have truly given me back my life.

I got this done today. I did it without sedation and he did it on both sides of my neck. It definitely hurt once they got into the spine and the push of the injection was one of the weirdest feeling parts because you feel the liquid come out of the needle. Other than that it feels moderately /painful uncomfortable as they push in bit by bit. Definitely doesn't need to be done with sedation unless you have a massive fear of needles. Still hurts far less than having an IUD inserted.

I am waiting to have this done bilaterally. I had an ACDF with Corpectomy several years ago and a PCDF/Laminectomy about a year ago. Will it be more challenging since I have lots of hardware? Also, I will only have local anesthetic, so I'm concerned if I have muscle spasms during this procedure. Is that a big concern?

What they don't tell you is that physical therapy won't touch you for a few months if this procedure does not bring you relief.

Not painless and doesn’t give relief at all. 10 years of this shite authorities of the HHS dept of our government regulates we pain patients have these injections so that we can receive pain meds, absolutely useless and with FM for 30 years and chronic headaches and pain all over, this is not helping.

I have a herniated disc c6-7 mylophy and spinal stenosis and arthritis will this help me ?
