The first version of HTTP was created long, long ago, and the internet has grown in scale significantly. To address the need for concurrent requests, lower latency, and higher data efficiency, HTTP/2 and HTTP/3 were introduced. This video goes into the limitations of previous protocols and how newer versions are designed to address them.

One of the best and simplest explanation of HTTP versions without complicating the details. Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the video, your whole channel is great. I would have liked a bit more here about HTTP3 here though. Specifically, I'm left wondering why exactly using QUIC solves the problem of dropped packets blocking multiplexed requests. If the answer is that "It's built on UDP so we ignore dropped packets, " then don't we risk losing important data in each request? I'm guessing there's more to the QUIC protocol here that deserves a deeper explanation.

1:43 I am a little bit confused. Is not everything binary on the wire ? how is http1 not binary; http2 being binary is to be expected right ?
