Koa Vase With A Off-Center Lid

In this video I turned a Koa vase and turned an off center Walnut lid for it. After turning and hollowing out the vase. I turned a off center lid using the Joyner jig.

Hi my name is Carl Jacobson,
I started woodworking with my grandfather as a young boy. I continued woodworking through high school, and started woodturning after seeing a turned project in a friends shop. Some of my fondest memories are working with my grandfather in his wood shop. Being able to share our passion for woodworking, ties it all together. We also do a lot of epoxy projects as well as woodturning.

It's always fun to watch something being turned off-center - you never really know how it's going to turn out. Totally aside from the vase, I love how your lids pop when they're opened. It's just plain cool.
