Oscilloscope appears to work fine until you touch the Position Control for channel 1. Moving it causes the Oscilloscope to become completely unresponsive.
Restarting resumes operation until you touch the same control again.
Fault is obvious - Serial Data line being corrupted by faulty Encoder.
