It's rough out here. There are so many data engineer jobs and yet everyone's being rejected because of lack of experience. I realized all this studying data structures doesn't matter. It's how well you relay the things you know. Also people should know what type of data engineer they want to be and stop pursuing all jobs. My company doesn't have a data engineer role so its really difficult.

As someone who hires Data Engineers, two main things I looks for, Can They Do the work I need done, but not just do it, Can they Automate It! AND Do they have a good personality as in how well will they fit in our corporate culture! We have to work with them so that's a big determining factor for me.

Such as, Can they explain in their own words how a job was automated, Can they present findings to stakeholders, Can they make people understand technical work in simple terms.

Hello! Thank you for your invaluable video! I find it extremely useful for beginners! I would like to ask about one thing regarding Data Engineer Career. I learnt Pandas in terms of Data Wrangling and Transformation. Therefore, how about Pandas for Data Engineers? Is it useful tool for ETL/ELT transformations? Obviously, the next step will be PySpark, but I would like to start learninig Pandas. It seems it is a good path for the next one. What do you think about it ? I would appreciate it if you could share your views about it.
