Hi everyone, welcome back to the Web Host Reviewers. In this video we’ll be taking a quick look at Godaddy’s web hosting. Click the link in the description underneath this video to have a look at our more in depth review. Don’t forget to like and subscribe.

When it comes to web hosting, Godaddy is probably one of the most recognized names in the industry. Godaddy’s ad campaigns that began running a few years ago might be largely responsible for it’s huge brand awareness. But does Godaddy being the most known hosting company make it the best? Not necessarily.

GoDaddy rapidly became a prominent player in the web hosting industry in the 90’s and 00’s. Through it’s cheap shared hosting and managed wordpress plans, Godaddy has been serving millions of websites across the globe and while receiving it’s fair share of bad publicity, has pulled through and is now stronger than ever offering a massive range of web hosting plans and domain name services.

Godaddy’s most popular type of hosting, their cheapest shared hosting plan, is currently being offered at a sale price of $4.99 per month. Once your hosting term has finished, you will be paying $10.99 a month from then on in. Their most expensive shared hosting plan is being offered at $14.99 and $21.99 respectively – not cheap!

Luckily, Godaddy allows you to cancel your hosting plan for a full refund as long as you do this within a 45 day period. This is great if you’re wanting to host with Godaddy but you’re not sure if the slightly higher price will be worth it. Of course, like other hosting companies if you have bought a domain, you won’t be able to be refunded for this.

Don’t get too caught up in the cancelation policy because upon sign up, you are bound to enjoy the the services goDaddy has to offer and dissatisfaction is highly unlikely.

GoDaddy has a simple and relatively easy to navigate control panel considering that it has a lot of built in functionality. It’s domain manager is very good allowing you to execute common tasks very quickly.

Most of the time, online file managers rarely do everything that you need them to because they are inherently simple and often dumbed down. While this may be the case with Godaddy, the result of this is an attractive interface that’s loaded with a number of nice features.

It’s worth noting that the setup of your Godaddy account can take some time, so be prepared for it to take up to 24 hours for your service to be activated.

Although, GoDaddy is not unanimously considered to be the best web hosting service provider – or the cheapest - it is however, a company well worth your consideration. We believe you do pay a premium for the Godaddy name, however it does have a reputation that makes it difficult to ignore. Setting up and using godaddy services is straight forward and most likely more than enough for the standard user. Godaddy also offers hosting plans for power users too.

That’s it for now… I hope you’ve enjoyed this video, make sure you click the link in the description to find out more. Please like and subscribe if you enjoyed this video and I look forward to seeing you again in a future video.

Godaddy is shit and I'm going to leave them when my Registration Expiration Date is reached. I had enough. Dulux Package with no emails, no backups, no SSL, 1 CPU 512MB of ram with an I/O usage of 1MB/s. All for the renewal price of $600 CAN. Their service is a joke and extremely expensive with everything stripped from you.
