My buddy owns a Wood Shop and he now has all Festool products. I have had the opportunity to repair three of his tools, two sanders and one chop saw. All three had bearing failures, they are built in a manner you can not simply change a $20 bearing, but you have to buy a complete armature with the bearing for $130. The chop saw was only a few months old, and The bearing was not available. When I called Festool, they were Johnny on the spot sent me a box so I could return it for warranty repair...
At the start of his production, he had all "box store" tools, and I never had to repair any of those. As production picked up he switched to all Festool.
They are good tools with the ability to work with the great dust collection vacuums they offer.
Unless you are making money with your tools, they are too expensive for my taste.

Fantastic tip, and one not many people discuss when talking about Festool sanders. After I discovered this fact I bought a 125/3 and both the hard and soft 6" pads; it's a great sander! Can't wait to hear about the router.

I went out of order: Domino, dust extractor, ... sander next but my brushless 20v dewalt is surprisingly good when it comes to hand fatigue (significantly better than any plug-in version). Oh, and since it's technically also Festool now, Iupgraded my Bosch flesh-sensing table saw a SawStop PCS.

Interesting! Also can't wait what you have to say about the OF 1400. Haven't bought a normal sander by Festool but love my OF 1400 😌

You're a pretty good Woodworker for a Helicopter Pilot!
Quality tools are great, but it's experience that makes a professional.
Also, I love the content! Keep it up!

I thought I was the only one using 150&125 pads on the ETS EC 125. Such a great sander!

The blacktail millions! It has a good ring to it. Congrats. I purchased a domino 500 first because I had a need. I got it from the recon site and have been very happy with it. I then bought the small CT15 vacuum that works very well. Now I have the rotex 90 and it suits my needs well. These are great tools. I’d like the CXS next. This is my favorite channel Cam.

I cannot remember ever having had any powertool that wasn't Bosch and I can't remember if my father has either.

But then again, I really only watch your stuff cause it's like ASMR or something and not because I'm doing it myself.

Can you do a tutorial of how to make a table/chopping board or something simple using no power tools and go through all the steps of where you source the materials etc. Something that someone just looking to get into woodworking can make for cheap with basic equipment. Alternatively a tutorial of how to do a simple epoxy casting of an object. Love the videos!

Unless the prices have come down significantly from when they first came out, I can't imagine anyone that doesn't make a living using power tools benefiting enough from Festool products to justify the outrageous prices. And even then, I think with their prices, they are targeting a very niche buyer.

There is a reason to buy festool and that is dust collection. Other companies make great tools but festool makes great tools with the best dust collection in the industry.

The ETS 125 is top of my shopping list now. That along with the vacuum.

Congrats on a million subs, well deserved. The one Festool tool I see you use that interests me is what looks like a circular saw that you square up your projects with along with the guide fence you usually use with it. Nice setup. Not a big fan of the short videos but hey, I watched this one to the end! Haha. Looking forward to your next project. JD

I'm so glad you've started doing shorts more regularly, they're bad for money, but supposedly are incredibly for growing subscribers. Here's to hoping you keep going up!

I think you should make an epoxy resin table inspired by the sea or a lake, I think it would look stunning
