I've created a quick video on how to make your own basic sub bass in Logic. A sub is perfect for thickening your sound, and adding that extra depth!

I hope you find this video useful, any questions or comments are greatly appreciated!

Hi everyone! I'm really glad so many people have found this useful, and was hoping those who are watching it for the first time, or people who have used this more than once, would like to share some of their tracks and projects they've used it on :) Just leave a link in a reply to this comment for everyone to see, or drop me a message! I'd love to hear some results! Thanks a lot for watching guys

Thanks man. Playing with logic right now and trying to do a techno song, and the sub base added that rolling effect that you hear. I want that driving rolling sound and feel Ill have to play around with things a while before I get it. This helps though. Thanks a lot

GREAT VIDEO JOE! COULD YOU PLEASE MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT USING LOGIC'S COMPRESSOR TO COMPRESS THIS SAME SIMPLE SUB BASS FROM THIS SAME VIDEO TUTORIAL? ORDER IN WHICH YOU USE EACH KNOB AND HOW IT SHOULD BE DONE IN THE RIGHT WAY? I'D REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP! THANKS FOR YOUR AMAZING VIDEOS

thanks jioe for this insightful video. I'm using it to help with my music Tech project at Berklee. sometimes when I hit a note on my midi controller when using sub bass it cuts out. could it be that my speakers cannot handle the low frequency? it usually happens when I record a baseline and play it back.

i love it thank you! but do u hear the wavy sound if u hold down the bass? or is it just me? how do u get rid of it?

Is this why some of my sub bass sounds out of tune?
It's not a matter of half steps/semitones. It just sometimes sounds sharp.
