I think I will finally get a Nintendo console. My last was N64 and of course I've played GameCube, Wii, DS, etc but this is really worth it. It does everything out there on home console AND portable consoles PLUS MORE! It's incredible!

The controller has all the correct buttons on it to do FPS traditionally. It's just all that and the extra stuff like an HD screen, tilt, etc.

It's in the right direction but I see myself grabbing a 3DS next. Paper Mario, Zelda, StarFox, Super Mario and Mario Kart were the games I have nostalgia for and can't wait to play em.

@iSaidGetUp I believe they have a new console too, but they're not advertising it as much. Watch the ad closely, there is a sidways curvy-looking wii which I assum is the Wii-U console.

@ApprobarePSN They probably won't replace it. It'll most likely be like the Wii, where it has the Gamecube ports (in the Wii U's case, the capability to use Wii Remotes), and some Wii games will actually have the Gamecube option, like Smash Bros. and Mario Kart Wii.

@rbergman1979 They briefly showed it during the keynote during one of the videos, but you can look up the picture of the system itself online. I guess they felt that the look of the box itself isn't as interesting as the controller. After all, the box is simply there to press the "On" button (or not, since the controller does that now) and to put discs in. The controller is what you're using the most, and it's what shows off the innovation of the console, so I'm not that bothered by it.

Guys. Most of the games they showed aren't the actual WiiU games. They haven't gotten far enough in development to show off many WiiU games, so the footage you saw for most of the games were really the PS3 or 360 versions! The graphics on the wiiU version could be the same or much better, but that remains to be seen. Also, Nintendo is using the latest tech. So yes, the ps4 and 720 will have better graphics, but not by much. The difference will be in power. Not graphics.

MW3 comes out this year. The Wii U comes out next year. The obvious reason, the system won't be out in time. Sure, there could be a version released really late for the Wii U, but I'd bet instead, they'll just skip MW3 and focus on the next CoD.

Wii U might be a smash hit in the EU.
On some levels I think the controller might be one of the best possible controllers when thinking about driving games: the device is as wide as a go-cart steering wheel and the screen could show all the necessary info (speed, engine rotations, possible items, etc.). And indeed if it does have the accelerometers, the controller will be used as a steering wheel.

You think a triple core 3.6 ghz is old tech? And the GPU is a new design by AMD. How is that old? We don't even know about the optical drive since it's a new design. Where's the old? It's all sounds a bit newer then what's in the PS3 and 360.
