Daily life in Mongolia. The Desert Country / How People Live / The People

My trip to Mongolia went through the Gobi Desert and off-road to the only city - Ulan Bator and was as extreme as possible. How people live in a country where there are still only 3 asphalt roads throughout the country, many live in the middle of the desert with camels. In order not to freeze in winter, some have to dig homemade artisanal mines, from where they sometimes do not return. Trees in this country hardly grow. I have visited the desert, mine, yurt and the largest city - the capital Ulan Bator.

If a Russian man says it's cold, I'm not arguing against it. It's definitely cold!

This is one of the least talked about countries, but such fascinating culture, history, and lifestyle. I really want this video to get more views.

This guy got it all:
1. First hand interactions with locals
2. Great panoramic views using drones
3. Courage and adventure spirit (specially that North Korean stint)
4. Humor (not dull like many other documentaries or vlogs)
5. It feels it's just like your buddy telling you a story/very down to earth/real feeling (feels like it's not done just to get attention, but he seems he really just like to share things he travels to)
5. Historical through graphics narratives from time to time
6. Cool background music

I am a mongolian and trees don't hardly grow. They grow near the Russian border and in the nortern west of mongolia. I appreciate your documentary film. This is better than Nat Geo's films

Very well researched, no-nonsense documentary. I'm from Mongolia and I couldn't find fault in any of the facts you mentioned here. This helped me become more confident that your other documentaries are equally well-researched and balanced.

Also the fact that you went down that mine is insane! You're super dedicated and brave. Great job. I didn't even know the conditions inside these mines before watching your documentary.

Thanks & well done.

So this solves the mystery of why the moguls conquered most of the continent: They were trying to get out of Mongolia...

Mongolians are some of the worlds most durable and honorable people - i was so in love with the country and especially the families while watching this - i think a few resistent trees should probably be introduced that would benefit them greatly - but i also understand thats not their culture so it simply shouldn’t be - you just have to love them
