Brexit: May incredulous over EU security access plans

Former-PM Theresa May reacted with disbelief when Cabinet Office minister Michael Gove revealed that security cooperation with the EU would likely end.

Mr Gove said that there were many more areas where the UK could cooperate with nearby nations on security issues than when the UK was a member of the EU, and benefitted from full sharing of security data with fellow member-states.

He said that oversight from the European Court of Justice was a requirement to access to the Schengen Information System (SIS) - something that the UK could not accept.

Always a pain for an incompetent government to have a former PM as a backbencher. The question really is this: At what point does the incompetence of a government become criminal? The Brexit fall-out so far: Half a million jobs lost. 25% (2 trillion) of financial assets held in London in 2016 have now been moved to EU countries. Foreign investments in the UK have dropped by 37%. Much, much more to come. The situation up to now is that the UK's losses are EU27's gains. And Brexit has not even started!!!

The British people voted for being foreigners and second class citizens within their own continent and to remain in complete lockdown and confinement within their own island, the new Alcatraz. Their will must be respected and they will be treated accordingly.

The thought of T’reason May reprimanding ANYONE about national security is a lesson in the sheer hipocricy of this magnificently failed PM who has been reduced to sitting like a vulture in a deserted HOC desperately picking at the bones of our brexit for scraps of dirt. Very sad spectacle.

The UK contributes to global security and was always part of the intelligence gathering. It's highly unfair that the EU does not recognize the basic synergy of keeping the UK plugged into this. Why Europe has not just reaffirmed such a strategic partnership is baffling.
