I really hope they add ship building/customization! That's the only thing I liked about Starfield and I quit playing Starfield to play NMS.

Now lore theory.

I do not believe the Atlas and Void mother is at war. Rather two separate entities existing. Which alone is an anomaly for this lore. As this event has happened before. And there was no salvation. However because of the fact that the Atlas is dying. It can't prevent anomalies from occuring. So the coveragance collapsed. The Autophage were born. The corruption spread. And a New Atlantid was born.

Think of it this way.

An AI built and AI in its system. Like a Minecraft computer.

Anyways back to the lore. I think the Atlantid might save us as either a supplement to the Atlas. (Most probable for gameplay reasons as the campaign has the Atlas as a core part.)

Or the Atlantid will replace the Atlas which could be a massive shift in the game.

My knowledge on the lore of this game isn't complete so if something was debunked here or confirmed already let me know!

I do think it's going to be á end, it could be also the end of the simulation and the start of us going out of the simulation and we could be asked by atlas to go to the phisical world to either fix the atlas or to find the team that created the atlas.

Hey I'm curious about something, and I'd love for someone to test and confirm a theory for me...

Now that you can start an Expedition from within a regular save file at the Anomaly, what happens when you do that using either a survival or permadeath save? Do the survival or permadeath limitations apply to the Expedition? That'd make for an interesting way to replay them. Can anyone test and confirm? Thank you so much for your help!
