This was the best World Cup in a long time. The energy and atmosphere were absolutely amazing!

Best world cup ever, best time of my life. I was in the middle of it all, working at the Sandton convention centre as a hostess and PA to the a man from Britain who was part of organising team of the world cup. Somewhere in the world I have pictures with greatest footballers in the world. Some how I found myself amongst the greatest, just an ordinary girl from Soweto. Best time of my life.

Even though 2010 was not the best World Cup, the atmosphere in my country was unimaginable. It was truly amazing and I will never forget it. Every time I see videos like this about 2010 I get goosebumps and I almost want to cry from the memories

I was 6, it was the first WC I would remember. For me, the most unforgettable things were the octupus, Uruguay's Loco Abreu, Spain squad, Jabulani, vuvuzelas and the Japanese squad (because I started liking soccer because of Inazuma 11, a Japanese soccer cartoon).

the soundtrack (waving flag, Waka Waka)
the drama (Lampard disallowed goal, Uruguay vs Ghana, etc)
the romance (Suarez crying suddenly become excitedly happy after the missed penalty, Iniesta celebration for the late Dani Jarque, etc)

such great memories that this world cup has created!

Ghana so deserved to go through to the semifinals 😢 That Uruguay game was perhaps the most memorable game of the 2010 World Cup and also an upsetting one.
