Dozens of campers fall ill to suspected norovirus, Kalalau Valley closed

What should have been a relaxing camping trip in Kalalau Valley quickly escalated into a dire situation after dozens of campers suffered from nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. The popular hiking trail on Kauai is now closed for seven days. Alina Lee has more.

I was told there is a permanent ring of dirty water surrounding the island of Kauai. That's why we rarely go to the island. Maybe that should get cleaned up?

I've been there many times and there's always more than 80 people there. Illegal campers. You can tell which ones are illegal by watching which ones leave the area when the helicopter arrives. There's toilets there with plenty of toilet paper but it's not near the waterfall where all the hippies are at. Camp closer to the toilet then, instead of pooping everywhere.
