I'm the same! Playing guitar since 13 now I'm 46 and I'm still doing music but I'm doing loads of work musically! And I have learned to dJ as well as playing several instruments! Reggae is in my heart and soul and I have always loved ub40 so much and I was gutted when Ali left the band and then his brother Duncan took the reigns and he's awe inspiring as well! and then he had to quit the band and now you have filled the position nicely and you have an amazing voice and I love your sound! Matt did the right thing for himself, it is not selfish. Of course it meant to leave his old band but also it meant for KIOKO that they can get a new singer who might be inexperienced and can get more experienc in the biz. Pursuing his own dream, widening the skillset and strengthen the own confidence is never selfish to me, it shows that there is a lot of passion and love for music deep within. UB40 is a much much larger scale, yes, and I can only imagine how Matt felt singing in front of of so many more people than he was used to 😅 He done it well and good job, Matt, to go for it! I yet have to see UB40 in the new configuration (🤪) but I hope I can soon. Always brings me so much energy after a concert and I miss.

I just saw UB40 perform in Idaho (7/20/24). All the band members look great and sound great. Matt is a wonderful addition to the band. The concert was a blast. Thank you for coming back to the States this summer.

Seen them in Malta just a month ago with their talented new singer. Seen also Ali' Campbell's UB40 a couple of years ago (following the passing of Astro) in Malta. Pity they had to split.
