James Pattinson was fined 100 per cent of his match fee, and handed a one-match suspension, after being found guilty of throwing the ball at Daniel Hughes on the fourth day of the Sheffield Shield match between Victoria and New South Wales. Pattinson was charged and found guilty of throwing a ball at or near a player in an inappropriate and/or dangerous manner.

Old Australian tactics. If a batsman is playing good and you can't get him out bowl either beamers on his chest or throw the ball on his body while he's not taking a run. We've seen how Bret Lee bowled an intentional beamer at Sachin Tendulkar in Australia when Sachin was winning the match for his team.
