I question why the student association would back the faculty association on this one. The faculty association decided to strike in the middle of the term to use students as a wedge to pressure administration to agree to the faculty association's demands. The faculty association could have waited a couple of months to strike at the start of January -- a time that would been dramatically less disruptive to students.

Post Secondary education is already a joke with it's management of money stop striking when you're making more than most people. These are the wages of the professors that are "under paid" right from MacLean's site. Tell me again why they need more money? The students are protesting for higher tuition.

Unions should not be allowed to hold taxpayers hostage. Unions are political organizations. If your not happy with your compensation...take it to the voters during an election. Do your job, or get out of the way for someone who will. Time to include this as a clause in all public sector contracts. You don't work for the government, you work for the people.
