Ukraine has finished the first week of their invasion of Russia and now control over 1,000 sq kilometers or Russian territory and more than 40 Russian settlements in Kursk. Putin is in shock and has no explanation for why his military continues to fail him so badly or how Ukraine could have surprised them in this way.

Putin, consulting with Stalin's ghost as to how he stopped the Nazi invasion of Kursk. Stalin's ghost told him: I sent in my best Ukrainian troops and got military aid from the USA

When Zelenskyy walked into that room he looked like a confident man with a purpose…a winner & a great leader in war time 🇺🇦

Thanks Jake, It gets harder and harder to find out what is actually going on over there. Too many half witted opinions and outright lies on some of these blogs. I'm ex Royal Australian Air Force (E9) and seem to have an easier time relating to your dialogue. Keep it up.

By saying Russians were not prepared and didn't fight we are disrespecting the Ukrainians who died during that operation.

Russians did a good job defending in many places and there were casualties on both sides.

Ukrainian troops are leaving Google reviews for shops and restaurants they encounter on Russian territory. It's a hoot to read. "Great food but not enough parking for our tanks." "The employees even speak Ukrainian." "They accept payment in Hryvnias." "They had the tools I needed to fix my tank. On my way to Moscow now." LMAO. Clearly morale is very high on the new front.

I am the same age as Putin. Each day I am weaker, more enfeebled, darker of vision, slower of mind. I am not angry about this, I do strive to stay strong, and yet I know I will lose. All my forebears endured it, smiled at themselves and faced the oncoming darkness with fortitude. Putin has chosen to take his country with him in an attempt to create a legacy he will not live to see, no greater traitor to his people, no greater fool. Slava Ukraini!

It's not nice being invaded is it, the world's smallest violin is playing for Putin right now. 🎻

About Russian old women. They both speak Ukrainian. Sudzha and part of the territory of the Kursk region were Ukrainian territories until 1917. Later, Russia assigned these and some lands to the Russian Republic of the Soviet Union. Some exchange of territories took place during the transfer of Crimea to Ukraine. That's why there's nothing surprising in this video. There are many Ukrainians left in Kursk. Young people are Russified. But the older generation, especially in villages, still speaks Ukrainian.
Although many of them do not even consider themselves Ukrainians and do not remember that at the beginning of the 20th century this land belonged to Ukraine. Russia has made great efforts to erase the memory of this.

Ukraine has now captured 74 towns as of this morning!! With over 2000 POW's!!

It’s 74 Settlements now. The Commanders didn’t know the Mission until two days before and troops found out the day before. Operational silence was AMAZING! They held their cards so close to their chest! Bravo! Putin is so angry at the incompetence that his anger is palpable in his security council meetings! He was fidgeting with his hands the entire meeting yesterday and the day before veins were pulsating at his temple. This is what happens when you put people in charge based on loyalty instead of competence! You know Putins going to blame the looting on Ukraine!

Jake, I noted previously that I grew up with Ukrainian families on the Lower East Side of Manhattan in the late 1950s and early 1960s. These people came to New York City from the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Yet, they picked themselves up and became strong American citizens. They’ve given so much to New York and the United States. I learned at an early age what an intelligent and TOUGH people they are. When Putin invaded Ukraine, I told friends that he invaded a “wasps’ nest.” And the “pencil pushers “ in Washington and the West said that the Russians would take over the country in three weeks. What a laugh they are. And… had our nation and the EU given the Ukrainians the critical military equipment that they BEGGED for two years ago, I believe that this horrible war would be over with Ukrainian victory. Thousands of lives could have been saved. Unfortunately, our “leaders “ in the West also looked weak. God Bless Ukraine.

I don't think Russian economy can be saved, even if Putler left Ukraine now. Western countries and companies would not go back there. It's gonna take 60 years before that happens.
