I attended a Catholic upbringing, my loving spunky Grandmother was raised with her twin sister at a convent with the nuns. She was a lovely and loving person and taught my father, who taught me that we do not need a mediator to talk to God. I was asked only once, during first communion, if I had anything to confess. Answered honestly “no”. Perhaps too young to fully grasp the depth of the question…. I never went nor did I feel a “need” to confess my heart and be subjected to the opinion of a fallible man.
Thank you John for stating and validating truth! 🌺

This is wonderful. I've been meditating on what forgiveness means, and my inner voice kept saying: "Inhale. Exhale." I thought maybe it was just a reminder to relax...which it is. But I loved what you said about the confession as giving us permission/belief to breathe, to be with spirit.

This has got to be one of the most practical, simple, and profound videos on YouTube. Many blessings to you, friend John. What a wonderful way forward with God. 💖

My wrongdoings are between God and me. Weren’t the confession box’s originally used to charge people to forgive their sins? Thank you, John.☀️

What about the 10 commandments?
I was taught even the thought of breaking one, is the same as doing so.
Another thing, I'm suppose to forgive those that have hurt me, in order to be forgiven.
I have a hard time forgiving another, when the pain caused was great. If I've forgiven, why do I pull it back up?. I say to myself, let it go and move forward..it still comes back nagging me, why did they hurt me so badly?; then anger arrises towards that person.
I have fear of going to hell.
All the teachings I was taught, combining those two above; indicate going to hell.

Would this be repentance to the father. Acknowledging to the father only praying and asking the father followed by righting the wrong and no longer moving in the negative way.

What about people saying they are hearing voices in their head to repent? Know anything about that?
