Had a stuck knob on my gas hob, bought the gas tap grease and followed your advice, but didnt try forcing the tap, as I was afraid I might end up with a gas leak. After leaving the grease to soak in for a few days, it is now working as new. Thanks very much for your advice. You’ve saved me a big bill and I’ll have 4 working rings to cook Christmas dinner😁

I tried this on my oven today as the knob had jammed and wouldn't turn on. At first it didnt work but after 3 hours I tried to turn the knob and it's working again. You just saved me you :-)
