I love going solo! You can go on any ride of your choosing, eat when you want, and not worry about what someone else wants to do.

Single rider lines are great if you have the courage to say hi to someone in front/behind/sitting next to!😄 I’ve met some people that have truly made my trip and exchanged numbers/instas with!
One time I was actually sat next to a boy on big thunder mountain who was going round Disney with his 2 friends. I was asked if I wanted to come on the next ride with them and ended up spending the whole day with them! We stayed in contact and he became my boyfriend😊

This is a nice reminder that being single, or not having a family, should not prevent you from enjoying your life. I always feel like I am taking up space going on vacations alone and feel awkward. You are a human being, and you deserve to make fun memories -- with, or without others!

Listening to the drama isn’t awkward it’s the best part! You get to be chill and do your thing all day and just kinda spy on all the drama

I was alone last winter for a couple of days. I was waiting in line for Soarin and the lady in front of me told me how brave I was to come alone. It took 58 years to get brave enough.

I’ve gone to Disney solo three times. And I’d do it again.
I love Disney World. It’s my happy place and always will be.
If people are staring at me because they see I’m alone, I ignore it. I don’t care. It’s my life. I’m enjoying it. I stay in my own lane. They can stay in theirs.

I once went on a 4 day trip alone and had a great time. I took my good DSLR camera and a few favorite lenses and took my sweet time and took all the pictures my family/friends never want to wait around for. I sat in Magic Kingdom for an hour with a Dole whip just watching the Peter Pan cast member be absolutely charming and entertaining. I love going with family and friends but that spur of the moment trip was tons of fun for me. And yes, introvert me actually struck up conversations with strangers and cast members. It was great.

I got to Disney alone every year. And I have a blast. I meet new families and they adopt me! I take the best pictures and people take pictures for me. Character meet and greet and short and sweet. I’m an introvert so I’m always short and hate small talk any ways… it’s a plus they can’t talk back. Dining out with characters is extra special cause I get royal treatment! You have not lived until you have experienced Disney solo!!! Highly recommend!!!!

I've gone to Disney like 6 different vacations solo. I think my favorite moment of being solo was when there was a dad trying to deal with his unruly daughters at a Port Orleans restaurant. The mom asked if they could borrow a chair from my table and the Dad then asked who I was sitting with, so I told him I came to Disney alone. And he looks at his family, the chaos, the stress, the noise of them all and says, "This girl's a genius! I-- I had no idea that was even an option!" And he started teasing his family about how that's gonna be him next time so he could stop paying for them all. It was cute, he was goodheartedly teasing them all, I felt really smart -- it was a good moment.

Most of my visits to Disney parks are solo. In less than 3 months I will be visiting all Disney parks around the world solo for my big birthday trip. Can’t wait as it will be my first time to Shanghai and Orlando.

Definitely give a big smile and hi to the person you sit next to is always a plus and perfect beginning to a ride.

When we go to Disney, my son has to go on the big rides alone as my daughter is disabled and can’t go on them. I stay with her. He ends up sitting next to a stranger and what he does is just ask them have they been on it before and do they like it etc. Small talk. By the time the rides going they’re usually just enjoying it. They get off laughing together normally. I often see him at the exit chatting to a stranger 😂. He didn’t like it at first but is a lot better at it now. Enjoy.😊

Love doing things solo. Things I’ve done: swing dancing class, movies, concerts, theme parks, went to a foreign country for two weeks, a sewing class, museums. I’ve gone on my own little adventures since I was a teenager and people found it strange. People who knew me couldn’t put their head around it either because I actually have a decent amount of friends. I just don’t feel the need to bring someone along to enjoy something. I’ve also realized that at my age (25) I have a larger amount of friends than most people do. A lot of people had friends but lost them as they became adults. They seem to struggle with suddenly being alone. From my perspective it kinda just seems that a lot of the friendships I saw fall apart were very surface level. Finding people to fill the spot next to you rather than trying to find genuine connection. Because I was fine being alone, I was more purposeful with who I spent my time with. I only want you around if I truly enjoy our time together. Otherwise I can just do this on my own.

I admire ppl who go to big theme parks like this alone. I go to a lot of places by myself. If my Son doesn't want to go, now that he's a teen. Sometimes, I don't wait on anyone and just go myself. Have fun, make those memories. Do you ❤

I did Disneyland alone for 3 days it was so awesome. I went hard and did literally every thing offered at both parks. I love going with my wife and daughter but it was refreshing to just to obscure things I wanted to do. See the parks stress free.

Grew up in a non rider family. Met so many good people just standing in line in roller coasters queues. I love it.

Being solo is the best at theme parks, screw the line, no arguing about what to do next, no worrying about someone else being to tired to do something, eat where ever leave whenever. Also if you’re in line at most theme parks the designers take a lot of effort in designing the Que (think all the details in the avatar ride), so it’s nice to let people pass you up while take in all the artistic aspects of the Que

Your list of awkward experiences at Disney are similar to doing a solo cruise. I have done several solo cruises and have eaten alone at the main dining room or specialty restaurants, sat alone at tables eating at the buffet or having a drink at the bar or watching shows alone.and sitting on the deck by myself, sometimes you meet people and have pleasant conversations and then never see them again, And it takes someone who is very comfortable with themselves to travel alone, sadly a lot of our society looks down on solo travelers. Treating us almost like second class citizens. So cheers to you for embracing you dreams and desires to enjoy yourself regardless of whether you’re alone or not.
