Genuine question: if the market is unregulated what's to stop big corporations like the ones we have today from underpaying their employees, and with competition there's bound to be a winner and a loser, the winner creates a monopoly and the lower goes out of business. What's to stop monopolies from forming in laissez-faire capitalism

It's sad that most people, being working or middle class, oppose Capitalism, despite us being the ones who would benefit most from the higher wages, lower costs of living, and instead support the Mongrel economies or full on socialist and welfare state economies, which only profit Govts, Corporate monopolies and the Upper Classes.

Not anymore. Even Ayn Rand would agree that modern late stage capitalism has such an extreme level of unequal capital distribution that it is destined to fail.
