If you have an existing bed with a head board and end board attached using single side rails that just slide into to both ends can you buy a conversion kit to make it a platform bed but still use and connect the existing head & end boards to it.

The frame a t .24 seconds; what is the cheapest center support beam to buy in the market (let's say Home Depot)? The center support that runs from head to foot of the bed is always made to weak from most manufacturers. Pain in the butt
