Not a massive fan of strats but that's a lovely looking finish and it sounds beaut

I tried this model in one of the local guitar stores as it was on sale for a reasonable £385. The range of tones is amazing with great power chords from the humbuckers whilst still maintaining that traditional jangly strat sound. The quality of the finish is way above what I expected from a Chinese build although the neck didn't feel right to me (compared to my American Standard strat). I was also put off by the loose tremolo that was too loose and kept interfering with the volume/tone controls.

These Fender guitars from Indonesia and China or where ever they happen to be made affordable are damn good guitars. Recently purchased the Squire Vintage Modified Cabronita Tele with Filtertron type pickup in neck position and a Bigsby for a mere $400 and it is a FANTASTIC guitar once setup properly.

I like this guitar. A LOT! I needed a strat with an HSH configuration and a rosewood fretboard and I love the playability. It's also heavier than any other strats, almost like those late 70's ash strats. My plan was to originally go with the Blacktop Strat but this one was $100 cheaper. I know when I got this guitar that I was gonna mod it up. I've switched out the Kluson-type tuners for Planet Waves Trem-lok's(my guitar repairman had to redrill the holes on the headstock to get the tuners to fit) and the guitar stays in tune quite nicely. Pickups were replaced with DiMarzio's(PAF Pro in neck, HS-2 in middle, Tone Zone in bridge). Pickups sound good but I think at the beginning of the year I'm gonna switch them out for EMG's like I have on my other two strats. String tree has been replaced with a roller one. Now the only thing left to do is replace the bridge with a Super Vee Bladerunner in  black. Guitar is a monster now!
