I met Tesplora's drummer Zach Herrbach in a completely different walk of life where our creative passions brought us together from around the world to film a documentary in Guatemala.

As I said goodbye to Zach at the end of our stay I never would have guessed that this was only the beginning of something big. I didn't know then that he would go on to buy his first home at the age of 19, I didn't know that along with his friends he would launch his own recording studio based out of that home, and I didn't know that in that process Tesplora would be born and they would go on to releasing their first EP "Equipose"; the home of "Different Dinosaurs".

I don't know what the idea or meaning was behind the original song, I never asked. But through my own interpretation, this song has taken on meaning to me and has rooted itself deep within my heart. A celebration of diversity - a collaboration of differences. I've always admired how music can bring people together regardless of where they came from or what their story is. Everyone has something unique about them, those differences are an incredibly valuable and should be celebrated. This one's for the dinosaurs, stay different.
