Oglądałem to z moją ukochaną babcią, w pewnym momencie gdy nie użyłeś twarogu, babcia upadła na ziemię - był to zawał. Babcia nie żyje. Jesteś skurwysynem!

I watched this with my beloved grandmother! She is very proud! Greetings from Polish granny!

The disappearance of 2 pierogi out of 11 during cooking is a pretty common thing.

when i saw you put a fucking yellow cheese instead of cottage chease, my inner polish spirit just snapped.

2:07 the whole point of pierogi is the cottage cheese. Using the yellow one destroys the dish. :c It is like having a tomato soup with zucchini instead of tomatoes. Serving a dish like that to a Pole would be the ultimate betrayer resulting in life long trauma and mistrust. If you cannot be sure that there is pierogi farsz in pierogi then you could as well mistrust the foundations of reality. I will have nightmares after seeing this video.

In poland we categorize our cheeses as yellow or white. In pierogi you have to use white cheese, twaróg (I hear the nane curd cheese for that, or quark, I don't know if they are correct). You can also use drained cottage cheese, maybe ricotta would work, but pierogi with yellow cheese is a different dish.

Music is "Prząśniczka" by Moniuszko. I recommend Kasia Mos version.

It's not Ricotta, it's a Quark chesse and you can't skip fried onions because they add an additional level of flavour.

When he used the raclette instead of a "white" cheese (like cottage cheese), I gasped. You, my sir, are getting the cooking license taken away.

Seeing FutureCanoe turning pierogi radioactive has gotta be the best Christmas present. By the way, the authentic version comes with twaróg (tvorog), not ricotta, polish cheesecake is also made with twaróg, if you ever decide to make Polish cheesecake I will cherish you forever.
The song is Prząśniczka by Stanisław Moniuszko if anybody's curious.

The great thing about pierogi is that there are many options for the filling. I strongly recommend trying them with cabbage and mushrooms. Greetings from Poland!

7:24 i love how he uses the "good job team" clip so often that it's literally part of his regular jargon now

From what I observed in comment sections on YouTube is whenever there are English videos that refer to the Polish culture, history, or people…the Polish viewers go absolutely bonkers and kick their feet in the air like giddy children that discovered they’re going to LEGOLAND on a Saturday morning.

Love you guys 🇺🇸♥️🇵🇱
