I have the Soto version of the similar stove which I use for car camping, mostly. And as someone else mentioned, these canisters are ridiculously cheap if you get them at an Asian market.
For summer backpacking I refill my 4 or 8 ounce isobutane canister from these butane cartridges. Works great!

I'm always excited to see a new stove. I mostly think of butane stoves as a back up stove for power outages at home. I have a gas stove, but mom who lives near me has electric, and her power goes out way more often than mine. We all got to have our coffee.

G'day Mark, quite a Soto Windmaster - esque burner and anytime I see something with more robust engineering, even being a bit heavier .... you've got my attention mate ; )
And in the main, I do prefer to "cook" with pans rather pots.
I have had one of those butane jobs, like a single gas burner on the home cooktop, for summer picnicing, but it went through fuel like no tomorrow and ended up in file 13 i.e. the bin ; )
This one looks a far better option !!!
Didnt know you "can" refill those cans, though not sure why you'd want to refill one can with another and I cant remember ever seeing bulk cylinders suitable, but hey, if they're out there, perhaps using an adapter, even better.
Speaking of adapters you mentioned running an Iso job from pure butane, which is well and good ... though do you know if it can be done, or is advisable, the other way round ?

I got the primus omni fuel recently, so I could run almost anything, and of course my fireboxes, and alcohol, but I picked up one of those butane stoves that come in its own box, because it was like $15 at Sail, the canisters are super cheap too, they’re easy, quiet, and cheap as can be. In warm weather, for car camping, they’re great.
The one you showed, on camera, looks a little over built and bulky for that kind of stove, but maybe not.
As for the cans, that actually a bit of a pet peeve of mine. These canisters are convenient, but I’m sure you remember when they were common a long time ago, and we stopped because those canisters are so wasteful. They’re cheap, but there’s a lot that goes into producing, shipping, painting shipping again, etc etc….and I don’t personally believe that many people bother to refill. But on occasional use, they are awful easy to use.

Pressurized stoves are all we can use in the Peoples' Republic of Callifornia, for good reason as it turns out, as we are on fire most of the time these days. That said, I truly hate using the temperature sensitive butane & dislike carrying the heavy propane cannisters. It doesn't help that both are ungodly expensive & frequently difficult to come by in my region. I got along well for decades with trench fires & a light weight folding grill, but truly miss using alcohol powered 'cat' stoves & similar.

Thanks Mark for the review. Looks like a sturdy stove. My wife and I use butane for cooking in our small off the grid trailer. It works well as a single burner and as you said, the fuel is reasonably priced.

Have you tried the following life hack during colder weather use?
One where you attach a small strip of copper to fuel canister which is pointed next to the flame to keep the canister warmer.

I have two Japanese markets within walking distance from my house. I was able to get four of those cans for under 5 dollars out the door. Of course, prices have gone up for everyone, but I still can get them for a reasonable price. I like that stove, it looks like a solid preforming stove. I have a small stove that uses those cans. I also have the adapters, and I also had flare ups when using a remote stove. ✌️🇺🇸🇨🇦✌️

Much more of a practical size of a stove to use for actual cooking with a larger pot/frying pan. Those other microstoves that can fit in your pocket... I can see their appeal but this size is what I would prefer for bigger meals.

Cant really look at that FM stove and not think it’s a take on the SOTO 310 which is a stove I personally really like.
One can purchase lots accessories for the ST 310 as it’s a very popular stove in Japan.
There is a new kid on the block the SOTO ST 340 but if you have a 310 I don’t think it’s worth an upgrade.
Another option is the SOTO ST 330 a remote butane gas cylinder stove with piezoelectric ignition and regulator on the gas cylinder connector which is better than being under the actual burner, again lots of accessories available such as tables to mount the stove in etc.
