Hi Andreas I’m still using the 2725 in the mobile and it’s a great radio iv got all sorts programmed into i also set it up for cross band as well 👌

Just bought the 2730 having used the 2725 for what must be 20 years. The 2725 is only 35W max power on 70cm though, not 50W. Also the right band cannot be adjusted for +/- 2.5kHz deviation, which means I am forever getting complained at for overdeviating on UHF repeaters, which was one of the reasons I decided it was time to upgrade to the 2730. The ability to display memory names on the 2730 is useful as well, if you travel and have repeaters in different areas on the same frequency but with different CTCSS tones, as you can program them individually into the memories and have different banks for different areas, which is how I program the Tait Orca 5020 ex-PMR handheld radios I have. I would be interested @barbsblogs1563 how you got the 2725 to do cross-band repeat, didn't think it was possible on that model..?
