I think the real problem is education. If education was better, cheaper, faster. People wouldn’t have to worry about switching jobs because it would be less painless than it is today. One of yangs talking points was truckers and how they will be unemployed in mass. And I agree this could be bad. But it’s only bad when they can find a new job. And the pipelines to get to a new career are irrational long than what they should be

There's a specialization of labour issue here that's being left out. Though it's very interesting to consider to what degree every citizen can aspire to be creative and to take more control over re-educating himself and relocating himself etc., and therefore he should take responsibility for that, it's also true that that kind of creativity is something which some people excel at more than others, and some people are just more willing to do it than others, and that will likely always be the case. I don't believe that there's some inherent evil in human nature that causes them to slack and to fail to meet their full potential in a totally inevitable way, but human nature is a volitional nature, and because people have the capacity to choose vice, the presence of a lot of vice in society may be just statistically inevitable. Anyway, what needs to be talked about is how that specialization would occur, how some relatively few people would organize new industries to make it easier for the masses to do the right thing. I'm talking about a new industry of adult re-education, which would help to normalize the activity, to make it more efficient, and to lessen the burden on every individual to make those tough decisions for himself. Isn't something like that going to be necessary?
