If you are a BC or BCM or MBC candidate, you may qualify for 27% OBC reservation. This reservation is applicable for central government jobs and also admission to institutions coming under the Union government. If you are applying for NEET exam, you will not get BC/ BCM/ MBC category in NEET application. You have to choose either OBC-NCL category or general category.

In this video, I have explained how income is calculated to determine whether you belong to creamy layer or non-creamy layer of Other Backward Classes (OBC). Tamil Nadu government has issued guidelines to the revenue officials to clarify how the income is calculated. I have explained four examples for you to understand the income calculations to determine the non-creamy layer status for OBC certificate.

Well explained sir.
As a NRI, I'm salaried employee as well.

My doubt is what kind of document needed to submit for income proof?
Salary slip enough or need any endorsement by High commission for that. Please enlighten me in this matter....

Thank you sir for the detailed video. It is really helpful and informative. I have question here sir. I a m working in the private IT company as software engineer and my salary income is more than 8 lakhs and I do not have any other income. When I applied for OBC for my son 6 months back, my application got rejected saying there is new guideline to exclude Professional class and those engaged in Trade and Industry. They informed that Software engineer is listed under professional class category and hence not eligible for OBC. Please suggest what should I do. .Thanks again for the wonderful service you do.
