This is a damn nice model. I've painted two so far and I strongly advise painting the model in sub-assemblies if you are unsure because there's a lot of detail that is hard to get to. As OPN said in his video, this model really soaks up the old Blanche style artwork. It's also a goldmine for spare parts if you get spare models from the "start collecting" Adeptus Mechanicus box set.

I'm painting my dominus right now. A tip: paint the robes before the arm with the volkite pistol is added (along with other obstructing things). A lot of fine details that makes it hard to paint.

Damn you are going to really regret not doing sub assemblies when it comes to primer and painting time :C

I have the start collecting box for admech and I sort of dread the assembly/sub assembly stages I am going to need to do with them.

A nice model where you can test every metallic paint you have in your shelf (I think that it allows you to play with different darker and lighter metallic tones to do the mechanic parts more interesting, GW paint is too flat) and those cybernetic eyes are saying "OSL". :)
