copy pasting a question which i too would like to know about:
ventilation or CO levels on these heaters and does it create any condensation if kept in closed spaces ?

i just brought a Mr. Heater gas heater and i am returning it because of CO2 emission level and i have to open garage door and have a ventilation unit running... my garage is not insulated.. so basically i am just flushing that heat. i would like to know if u can use it in a closed environment or should i need to provide exhaust ventilation

Brilliant friendly informative, I was interested in these units and found yourself, I'm from Scotland, many people that aren't in towns and cities on mains gas have kerosene powered central heating here. Many of these rural properties are now converting to heat pumps. Therefore lots of left over kerosene in our storage tanks! And what a great way to use it up! I suggest you get a continuous monitoring CO detector that displays the level. Most of these alarms aren’t designed to go off until a specific level has been reached for a specific amount of elapsed time.

Thanks for posting this video and the later follow up review. I purchased one of these heaters for my garage after watching your videos, and so far, I am very impressed. It was super easy to assemble, and it fired up the first time I tried it. I also got a carbon monoxide detector and battery powered fuel transfer pump. I'm running mine with kerosene, and it really puts out some heat. The noise level is not bad at all, and I like that it has a thermostat to shut off once the garage gets warm enough. Thanks again for the review and all the helpful suggestions!

In my 3000sf shop
first year used torpedo heater caused condensation, roof ice dams and headaches.
Second year installed 150Kbtu diesel furnace which heated it ok except floor to about 3ft was an ice box!
Third year bought a (Canadian brand) center fired direct vent propane ir tube heater 50ft long heats floor and migrates all across it. Typ winter propane usage is around 300 gallons. Been 15yrs and still love it, best investment ever!

I run several heaters lol, a torpedo heater to get up to temps in around 30min, then a 10, 000 btu kerosene space heater for keeping it warm, along with a quartz heater for my work area and when its not too cold yet.

They are great heaters. I used a couple on small drywall jobs and they warm everything in the room not just the air. When the power goes out they are safe for inside use with a generator outside of course. Only use diesel fuel to keep the smell down and you can buy a additive that will make the fuel smell like grape of strawberry. Well worth the money.
