Great video . Just a bit of information about the Emstat feeder my late father Ken Staton came up with this feeder for shallow water bream fishing, the idea was to disperse the groundbait quickly in the feed area, before dad came up with the feeder we used to put groundbait round the bomb but that had to be so stiff to cast and would lay on the bottom in a hard ball not the best for bream fishing, so dad and M Ems ( a fishing tackle dealer ) put the feeder into production hence the “Emstat” it was the carp anglers that used it as a method feeder . We used to drill a small hole in the bottom, cut the ring off the top and drill a small hole passing the line through and turning it into an inline for commercial carp fishing, that’s the story of the Emstat

As far as i am concerned Andy changed angling forevermore he is without doubt 1 of the greatest anglers this country has ever produced an amazing innovator, i still have his original video on how to fish the method feeder and how fish the korum method feeder i still have some of the original korum method feeders today, i remember copying how Andy fished the method and the way he loaded it with the palm of the hand, i won so many matches it was crazy, absolutely genius is Andy, thank-you Andy for all you have shared with us over the years i really appreciate it thank-you.

I remember Fin's revolutionary article in Match Fishing in the spring of 2002 when he showed the first commercially available flatbeds. I've still got some of those clear Korum method feeders somewhere - I caught no end of fish on them!

Great information thank you, i have been fishing the Method this last week ICS banjo 60gram for Barbel, been holding in the low water i know Korum do a 90 and 120, I choose banjo as didn’t want hook to maybe get snagged in the fins on the standard dura, will try Andy’s bait recommendations.

What a brilliant video Andy. Great piece of history/development. I was lucky enough to have a day with you back in June 2011 on method and paste. Really helped me and put a few quid in my pocket. All the best. Regards Paul

Over 50 minutes of advice, angling history and obvious expertise. Total respect. (am old enough to recognise the first two commercially available models, in fact, I still have them in my tackle box, next to my swingtips 😊).

Who is this Guy ive been using the guru hybrid feeder for a long time but to change to a bomb or method feeder you have to snap the line so I then saw the ics inline banjo xr feeders from preston and I saw that you saw you could change from feeder to method to bomb and more so from now on I will be using the preston banjo feeder not Guru hybrid feeder this is a brilliant video.

Great video Andy
Love the advice about casting being the most important thing and then keep everything simple…
So did you invent the Kobra feeder as I remember that one being the go to feeder with the brass rod running through it, easy to clip on and you had pre loaded ones on your tray
Thanks
Mark
