I'd like to see the teardown of that Cleveland. Definitely would like to see what happened to it. A restoration of that car would be very cool.

Deeromax! Good one. You should paint 7 deer on the driver side door like the old WW II aces!

Throws me off seeing Rich’s shop, and you working in it, but ether was, it’s really great that you found your bucket list dream car in Canada, this by far is one of the best videos from your massive journey on YouTube. Derek, I love your humbleness, your approach on life, your family values, and how you stay true, and appreciate us fans, as we do you, for your hard working ethics, and your down to earth personality 👍🇨🇦

Pantera parts are easily available. Panteras by Wilkinson, PIM, Hall and few others. I personally use Wilkinson as they have a great online site where you can see the parts in the original parts diagrams or just use a menu. They take PayPal. Parts usually arrive in a couple days. Now if you said it was a Lotus Esprit I would say there is a lot of NLA. As for brakes, SACC has a Wilwood big brake kit which is plug and play. Just need to delete the proportioning valve. Good luck with the build. It’s enjoyable to see someone doing this.

Well, I feel your pain. I’m from Ohio. Been a lifelong Cleveland Browns fan. So no big surprise when something else from Cleveland fails 😂

Rebuild the 351C. Remove the roll bar. Make it cherry.

Get yourself a lathe. Not difficult to learn how to use it.

Wrong thread on a union ? Not a problem, screw cut another. Brake pushrod the wrong length ? Make another. The right size spacer to put in a race ? Easy.

They're not called 'The King of Machine Tools' for nothing !!

Wow, what an ordeal this trip was. I know you're excited to finally get your hands on a Pantera, but it was a real test of your skill and determination. RE pacing yourself - you are obviously not listening to us telling you to back off and get some DOWN TIME. Please Please stop pushing so hard. And Please Please start wearing eye protection while grinding metal!!

351C has plenty of power for the car's light weight. Rebuild it and enjoy it.

Great story. Please wear safety glasses when grinding. We want a guy to
keep his eyes.

The wires on the pads were for pad wear when the pads got low it would ground to the rotor the other end of wires should be in the fenderwell behind the shocks

You looked so uncomfortable driving that thing, lol. We all know the real reason you didn’t want to drive it any further was that you couldn’t bring your self to buying and wearing sneakers. Lololol 🥾

I have always wanted a Pantera. Thanks to the videos I no longer have the desire for one. They do look cool though.

Derek, I really enjoy your channel and respect your mechanical abilities. Your humor is what keeps me coming back. But one thing I noticed is that at times you fail to wear safety glasses. And I do believe that young people see that might follow suit. I have been working on anything mechanical since I was in grade school. I point this out to you sir because while I was serving in the Navy and working on a submarine a tool broke exploded, and hit me in the eye. You might say that “well We have two of them” well 37 years ago this happened. And today I am fighting to save my other eye. When I lost my eye I was just wrenching, and that ended badly. I wouldn’t wish this on anyone. But again keep up the good work.

Gonna join in the nagging about eye protection... Don't take risks with your eyes!
