LPD Pedals Eighty 7 Overdrive/Distortion | My Favorite Amp-In-A-Box Pedal

The LPD EIGHTY7 was designed to deliver the great guitar sounds of the 80's. The aim of this design was to capture the modified Plexi and JCM800 tones that LA recording studios were tracking in that era. Two modes, Green and Red, deliver a wide array of gain and tone combinations.
Green mode is percussive and dynamic with plenty of body to punch through even the most demanding mixes. Red mode is more saturated and compressed for liquid leads and full chugging palm muted rhythms.
A full Bass, Mid, and Treble tone stack allows complete control over the frequency shaping of your tone. Presence control to add or cut sparkle to help cut through the mix or blend better with your chosen amp.
Whatever style of 80's guitar tone you prefer, the Eighty 7 can deliver. Built with top quality components and designed with durability and longevity in mind, the Eighty 7 can give as good as it gets.
24 volt internal operation from a standard Boss type 9 volt dc center negative power supply. True Bypass switching.
Guitars: Nash S-81, RS Guitarworks Twisted strat, Ernie Ball Music Man JP16, Knaggs Kenai DR (knob twisting)
Amp: Suhr PT-100 clean channel

Great sounding pedal! This might be my next amp-in-a-box. What I love about this sort of pedal is that the extra tone control nobs really let you dial in and dial back tonal elements that distortion pedals naturally contribute to tone. I have a Friedman BE OD pedal and absolutely love it. I use it to drive my Fender Bassbreaker and have an amazing sound. I don't even set the gain all that high, maybe around 11 o'clock and it sounds fantastic. I'll keep the Eighty 7 in mind. Nice demo.
