Ubisoft is taking away your games…

Ubisoft is shutting down online services for 15 games in September of this year.
They say that closing these online services will allow them to focus their resources on delivering greater experiences on their newer titles.
Let me just translate this.
We’re closing these down because servers are expensive & these games are just not generating money anymore.
The list includes some assassin’s creed games & far cry 3 among others.
And the uncool thing is that you won’t be able to download content such as DLCs for some of these games.
And among them there is also a multiplayer-only game by the name of Space Junkies.
So if you bought that game, sorry but you won’t be able to play it ever again after September because Ubisoft can just do that.

I just spent 800 to play assassin’s creed on the new Xbox to dind out I can’t just put it in and play. Am I going to have to deal with this with other games? If so I want to sell it it’s not worth the passwords and emails. I have a couple of hours to play in a week. Anyone

Thank you for this! Ubishaft does 3 things with their games: 1. Lies 2. Releases them incomplete 3. “Works” on them for years, making them worse in the process, and 4. Repeats the process in the next title.

I think part of the reason they do this is so that when they release remastered versions after 10 years everyone will buy them

Guys ok I have a great idea let’s put this game on steam let people play for a few years and then one day shut it down but still make them pay then have them download ubisoft connect to play just to find out we shut it down.

This has been going on for a long time. I used to play SSX 3 online on my PS2. You can't anymore. We move on.

Surely this won't effect physical games for console right? I mean, I don't really play their games anymore, but this could be bad for gamers across the board if we let Ubisoft get away with this.

Happened with ghost of Tsushima when the dlc came out, deleted the game, I try to reinstall and it says nope. I got lucky and all I had to do was restore my licenses
