its not that I disagree with anything you said about floodgates and combo decks vs control decks, but my personal problem with mine isnt control decks playing it. Its combo decks playing it. Decks like drytron that can put it up, and then just make zeus, wipe the board and keep playing. It puts you in the same position as other floodgates as well. play backrow removal, or you lose to mine, but unlike going second where throwing in backrow removal isnt that bad because you draw 6, your going first and you gotta draw 5, and drawing 1 cosmic/twin hurts your hand and the ability to play through hand traps way more.

Concerning your comment about the D-Link board vs Mine
I guarantee you I will take a D-Link board anytime no matter how unfair it is over a sacky mine. At least D-Link is KNOWN in terms of strategy of throwing it is entire resource for a solid board (with the chances it breaks AND the chances it gets interrupted with handtraps)

So, here is my argument for why different floodgates are bad. Warlords and Gozen are not great because of archetypes. Most are the same type and attribute (most) and therefore can both play and play against those. Skill drain is slightly toxic, but you can still pay cost, and something like a book of moon or anyway to move the card makes the effect go off. Anti-spell…I have no defense for, to me, it’s worse then IO since at least IO let’s you activate the card. (Yes IO is banned and should be banned, but so should anti-spell). No, Mine, has almost no counter play. You can’t even attack under it. If you could attack, then it wouldn’t be half as bad. My issue with mine is that it makes decks that are terrible good, simply by saying no to everything. Imagine Striker without mine. How good would it be? Answer, probably rogue at best
