*BOSNIA: In this video, I travel from the Croatian capital of Zagreb to the little-known city of Banja Luka in Bosnia & Herzegovina. Banja Luka is the administrative capital of the “Republika Srpska,” one of the political entities that form the country of Bosnia & Herzegovina. Join me as I find out what the top places to visit in Banja Luka are and what this untouristy city is like.

Thank you for this presentation. In a few minutes, you said a lot, key things about us. I live there and I'm glad when someone presents us like that 👍

I was born in Banja Luka but grew up in Australia since the age of 3 (I'm now 48). I've been back many times since. Banja Luka is not a "Tourist" destination (maybe not a bad thing) but there are many great places to visit and sites to see. I do have to admit you kind of need a local to help you out and show you not only the sites but culture too. If you can get out of the city into the countryside and interact with the locals you will not be disappointed, so many hidden gems....

What an interesting place! Love the way you manage to explain the complex history and politics of this region in simple terms. Really adds a lot of quality to your videos!

14:09 mate there was a crosswalk both to your right and the left, you just couldn't see them because you were right in the middle, Banja Luka is quite strict about using crosswalks aka not many people will stop for you if you aren't on one, but if you are they will 100% stop

Yes, the city has Soviet-Socialist buildings, but people got to live somewhere. They all can't live in the small number of beautiful housing built by capitalists

Banja Luka is not Bosnia, it is the Republic of Srpska. Bosnia is neither legitimate nor Serbian.

I am Croatian, I was born in that city. I and all members of my family were mercilessly expelled by Serbian nationalists. Strangers will often be pleasantly surprised by the kindness. But there is one thing they don't know: Serbs have a folk proverb that reads: "Be nice, the man is a Frenchman." There are a lot of crazy people out there. Don't walk alone at night.
