Το Πήλι είναι χωριό της βόρειας Εύβοιας και ανήκει στον Δήμο Μαντουδίου-Λίμνης-Αγίας Άννας.Το χωρίο βρίσκεται στις βορειοανατολικές ακτές της Εύβοιας, είναι παραθαλάσσιο και περιβάλλεται από ψηλές ορεινές πλαγιές. Βρίσκεται στους βορειοδυτικούς πρόποδες του όρους Πυξαριά. Ανατολικά του βρίσκεται η κορυφή Πρίονας με υψόμετρο 1.003 μ του όρους Πυξαριά και δυτικά του το ακρωτήρι Δάγρι (361 μ.) Απέχει 57,4 χιλιόμετρα από τη Χαλκίδα και 9,3 χιλιόμετρα από το Προκόπι.Σχετικά με την προέλευση του ονόματος υπάρχουν δυο εκδοχές. Σύμφωνα με την πρώτη και επικρατέστερη το όνομα οφείλεται στη γεωγραφική μορφολογία του χωριού. Δεξιά και αριστερά υπάρχουν δυο μεγάλα βουνά και ανάμεσα τους ένας μικρός κόλπος που μοιάζει σαν πύλη προς το Αιγαίο. Κατά την δεύτερη εκδοχή, το χωριό οφείλει την ονομασία του στο γεωλογικό προφίλ του εδάφους της περιοχής όπου κυριαρχεί ο πηλός, και αυτή η εκδοχή έχει βάση αφού το έδαφος σε όλη την κοιλάδα που βρίσκεται το χωριό είναι πηλώδες

Pili is a village in northern Evia and belongs to the Municipality of Mantoudi-Limni-Agia Anna. The village is located on the northeastern coast of Evia, it is seaside and surrounded by high mountain slopes. It is located at the northwestern foothills of Mount Pyxaria. To the east of it is the peak of Prionas with an altitude of 1,003 m of Mount Pyxaria and to the west of it is Cape Dagri (361 m). It is 57.4 kilometers from Chalkida and 9.3 kilometers from Prokopi. There are two versions regarding the origin of the name . According to the first and most prevalent, the name is due to the geographical morphology of the village. To the right and left there are two large mountains and between them a small bay that looks like a gateway to the Aegean. According to the second version, the village owes its name to the geological profile of the soil of the area where clay predominates, and this version has a basis since the soil throughout the valley where the village is located is clay
