During hurricane Ike, I uncloged the drain of my street while every other street filled with water. The neighbors looked at me crazy as I was out there pulling branches from the drain. I was the first to be outside early in the morning and about an hour later, the entire neighborhood was helping me go street to street unclogging drains and reducing waist high flood water. Felt good that day.

Dude..be very careful with these situations. We had a flood problem in our city. A good Samaritan like you, attempted to help a lady with her car that was parked in the street. The flooding was so bad, it actually lifted a manhole cover completely out. The kid had no clue about this, and ultimately he fell down and died in the sewer system. Just terrible.

Just a reminder to anyone who sees an opportunity to do this in the future, please be very careful when approaching a drain cover that you cannot see. There have been cases of people attempting to do this and unfortunately drowning because of there not actually being a cover there, or the cover had shifted enough for a gap to form.

From time to time I come back to those videos and I really can't find words to explain how much I loved watching them and how much they helped me calm myself. I really miss those, it's kind of a shame that the dmv keeps the good ones clean. I wish you would go to the neighboring cities or counties to find such floods, man, we need those kind of videos back ❤️
