Not sure why you compared a unit that crimps 1/2" and 3/4" to another brand that only does 1". 1" crimper from any brand will be more difficult than any 1/2". I have used all versions of crimping tools and that was not a fair comparison. If you want the best pex installation you have to use the expansion version of pex.
