Masterforce 56' Rolling Tool Box / Cabinet

An unboxing of the Masterforce 56" rolling tool cabinet from Menards. I needed to upsize my toolbox and decided on this one. Generally these are special order only, and not in most local stores, so I thought I'd share about this box. I know this is not a Snap-On Epiq box but that was way out of my price range but the quality-to-dollar ratio seems pretty high.

I did not (yet) purchase the top tool chest.

Thank you for posting! I had a heck of a time finding out which of the drawers had double rollers, as it's not listed on their site or either PDFs posted there. Much needed tour, thanks!!

The 26 inch wide 6 drawer cabinet is also .8mm, which is .031", or 21 gauge. Just bought one. Seems sturdy.

The top drawer is there supports welded to the underside?

Do your center wheels touch the ground? Mine didn't so I took them off. I placed a benchboard on top and use it as a work bench and mounted a 6" Masterforce vice to the board only. Mine is blue. :)

Most straps don't need to be cut where they joined together if it's plastic you can just pull it apart but if it's metal then you have to cut it

Did you mention the drawer detents are they good and stiff so if I do need to roll it around i dont have to lock it so all the drawers don't come sliding out all at once and kill me ?

How were you able to get this in red?? The salesman at my Menard's said it was not possible, even on special order. I showed him this video and he looked absolutely dumbfounded. I really enjoyed this video, it was very informative. Watching you move the cabinet when you removed one of the drawers, I think I am going to order up a couple swivel casters so I can have more control over the direction of travel, especially for moving into tight spaces. I do have one question for you. How wide is the channel where the casters mount? I am thinking about getting a piece of mild steel to fill those areas to increase the strength of the underside of the cabinet. Yeah, I know that is probably beyond overkill, but it is an inexpensive mod that offers incredible peace of mind. I did it to a different brand box in the past, but on the inside of the box. This one has that convenient channel there which will allow the piece of steel to just fall right into place. One suggestion the volume between your voice and the music. I turned up the speakers to hear you better, and got blasted by the music LOL.
