Building a Vortex Ring Shooter

This is the first prototype of a vortex ring shooter that shoots vapour from the smoke machine I built last week! Using a rack and pinion and servo motor along with an arduino and some potentiometers for control, I am able to create rings of different sizes and speeds. I have some improvements to make on this thing, which I will show in upcoming videos :)

This is one of those projects I've had in the back of my head for a long time so I am absolutely thrilled to have it out in the real world!

This is so cool! I've been trying to figure out a way to make a very compact smoke vortex shooter that can fit inside the housing of a 3D printed Raygun from CoD as a gift to my little brother, it'd be nutty if I could get it to work with minimal maintenance (refilling the vapor fluid, replacing any vaporizer coils, and charging/changing batteries) and make the model look clean! You've just given me a massive boost in motivation to return to the project!

I prefer using the bottle made of one, take a bottle, cut it in half, and put a balloon at the end, works the same, but it's not automatic.
