This was actually something I really liked about the dlc, esp since it's deliberate misinformation. It's set up as an impossible task that you're better off avoiding, and left to the player's experimentation (or finding out from someone else for that social element) to realize that it is possible to kill. It fits really well into the aspect of overcoming adversity that Souls usually does very well, and I love that it's bringing back the winter lanterns but retooled to make them even more threatening mechanically. What I don't like is the grab just one shots me (50 vig/vit I forget what it's called in ER) since one shots and even 2-3 shots just don't give enough wiggle room for the player to escape from danger and restrategize or experiment without being punished for it. It just pushes the player to avoid encounters that might otherwise be interesting challenges

you can hit them only after you parry them, it has to be the second it raises its wand though, otherwise you die. once you parry it, you critical it and kill it IMMEDIATELY otherwise it will end you. but! you get a cool talisman if you kill it so
