The no resist thing, Came under the assumption that all hijackers would come aboard with a bomb and take the plane hostage and then proceed to make demands, The idea of a suicidal team of hijackers planning to use the aircraft as a missile and going straight for their target was never considered, Even though such plots using airplanes have happened before outside the U.S and one case in particular involved the takeover of an air France flight from Algeria in the mid 90's.

Pilots are there to fly the plane. We don't want to be fighting terrorists.

One thing that could have been done to prevent 9/11 was to secure the cockpit door from forced entry, and instruct the pilots to refuse entry to anyone even if the hijackers are threatening to kill the crew & passengers.

Guns, Would not be helpful for protection when your thousands of feet up in the air on a crowded pressurized cabin, I really doubt airline pilots would be up to the job of taking back the plane with a firearm given the level of training needed for Air Marshals.

Let's stop putting the blame where it WAS and start heading in the right direction.

Maybe not his best showing, but I thought he defended himself from Brian Williams pretty well. It's hard to do your best when they only throw you a loaded bone once in a great while, while they're asking Romney and Perry all the legitimate questions.
Pitiful.

TSA going to have new shoe scanners that will give your feet an X-ray 10 times worse than hospital X-ray without no lead jacket.

has anyone counted the amount of time that Dr Paul had to answer any questions? i was sitting there the whole time wishing that Ron was asked the same questions that the other guys were asked...Paul had to answer for his views on cutting government only usually departments that had to do with the poor receiving money and they tried to make him look like a cold hearted animal...it wasn't fair...it was the Perry/Rommey show

@CertifiedGooner729 I'm a realist and know what he wants could never be. It's good rhetoric and seems reasonable but in reality is not goin' to ever happen. The country would cease to exist first.

@CertifiedGooner729 On point! If Ron Paul is the sane one of the bunch we are really in trouble! I put your current president in the same group . If, if, if, if, more of the same!

@billeybop That's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard.

@samael1981 They didn't. The airports were responsible for security and directed the process. Hence how 911 was possible. I agree the agency and its processes need a major overhaul though.

And how does Mr. Paul propose the airlines pay for their own security?
